“Travel the globe and track your targets across exotic sandbox locations in Hitman 2“

I snagged Hitman 2 when it was a free Playstation Plus game about a year ago. This was my first experience with the series and as I love stealth games, I was intrigued.
As the name describes, you play as the hitman designated as Agent 47. I didn’t care much for the plot but the game operates as follows:
- You will have either a single or multiple targets to take down (with additional side quests)
- Kill or subdue them by any means necessary
- You can choose which weapons or tools to start with
- Complete the mission
That’s it. You’re free to navigate the mission and take down the target(s) in any way you see you fit, and I really liked that. There’s no timer or boundaries. If you wanted to go in guns blazing, wear a disguise, poison a targets drink, or stealthily prowl on enemies you can do that.
There’s an additional sniper mode that’s self explanatory and I did enjoy that, but only one mission was available outside DLC. I didn’t see much purpose in paying $40 for a couple extra missions when the replay value in the missions I had already completed was pretty high.
So yeah Hitman 2 was a fun time, and it was a good deal to play it for free. I’ll have to check out Hitman 3 down the road and see what new things it has to offer.
