Spider-Man Miles Morales

Experience the rise of Miles Morales as the new hero masters incredible, explosive new powers to become his own Spider-Man “

For how big of a Spider-Man fan I am, my knowledge of Miles was pretty limited. I knew of his character and saw Into the Spider-Verse but that’s it. Spider-Man for PS4 was a game I enjoyed as it was the first Spidey game I picked up since the Amazing Spider-Man on PS3, but I had my fair share of criticisms for it.

Miles Morales is a much shorter game. I completed my first play through 100% and New Game+ in under 20 hours. In the first year of having my PS5 I always chose Fidelity Mode, but now have recently switched over to Performance. The cool thing here though, is that Miles Morales offers a mode called “Performance RT” – this means you play in Performance Mode but have ray tracing that originally was only in Fidelity. It’s a perfect balance I wish more games offered. Oh, and load times are super fast.

The main villain here (The Tinkerer) may not be everyone’s cup of tea, however it’s still a solid story I enjoyed. Rhino is another villain you fight, and there’s also the new inclusion of the Prowler. Other cameos are offered through side quests.

Miles fights like Spider-Man, but is completely different in a huge way. He has “venom powers”, which includes electricity attacks and being able to use camouflage. The powers are pretty fun to use and help make Miles feel more unique.

Overall, Miles Morales is a fun addition to the series I definitely recommend picking up. Can’t wait to see more on Spider-Man 2!
